Human trafficking exposes some of the less desirable aspects of human nature and as a result, draws harsh criticism and public outrage when it is uncovered. While human trafficking has been illegal in The United States for over 200 years and for even longer in some other countries, studies show that it still represents an international industry with revenue in the billions of dollars annually.
